We have had a number of customers contact us enquiring whether our Chinese and South Korean produced items are safe to use, so we wanted to reassure everyone that our products are not at risk of spreading the Coronavirus, as all products that we have in stock were produced and left China before the recent outbreak started. However, even looking further down the line when we get newer stock in, there will still be no danger of the products being infected, because not only are all imports being carefully inspected to ensure there is no danger, it is suggested that the virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 2 to 3 days – information taken from the medRxiv database.
As all our Chinese imports are shipped by sea, they take 4-6 weeks to arrive and so even if the virus was originally on any of the products, this would no longer be active by the time it reaches the UK.
